About Dr. Barker
Jessica Barker, MD, MS, is the newest OB/GYN to join the medical staff at South Sound Women’s Center in Olympia, Washington. From young women wanting to get pregnant, or not wanting to get pregnant, to middle age and older women needing relief from premenopausal or post-menopausal symptoms, Dr. Barker provides quality, compassionate care for women of all ages and life stages. You can feel comfortable speaking with Dr. Barker about any gynecological issues or questions you may have, from menstrual cramps to incontinence.
After receiving a bachelor’s degree in biology and a master’s in molecular and cell biology from the University of Texas at Dallas, Dr. Barker went on to earn her medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch. She completed her OB/GYN internship and residency at Temple University in Philadelphia.
Prior to working at South Sound Women’s Center, Dr. Barker worked at Kaiser Permanente Olympia Medical Center in Olympia, Washington, and Rockwood OB/GYN Center at Deaconess Hospital in Spokane, Washington. Dr. Barker is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
