About Dr. Richards
Julia Ann Richards, MD, of South Sound Women’s Center in Olympia, Washington, has been treating women with care and compassion through every stage of life since the center opened almost three decades ago. Dr. Richards received a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Washington, followed by a master’s in toxicology and environmental health from the University of Washington’s School of Public Health. She went on to earn her medical degree at the University of Washington School of Medicine and complete an OB/GYN residency at Indiana University School of Medicine.
After her residency, she returned to Washington and has been practicing at South Sound Women’s Center since completing her medical and OB/GYN training. Dr. Richards is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is an American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists fellow.
In her spare time, Dr. Richards enjoys theater at night and getting outside to play tennis, ski, hike, and garden during the day.
