South Sound Women’s Center has been providing health care for women in Olympia and the south sound region since 1993. It was a natural progression to add birthing classes for our patients in our continuing effort to provide the best service possible. We know you will take home the most up-to-date information and a better understanding of pregnancy and the birthing process.

Call 360-705-1259 for class series dates to accommodate your schedule:

Eight-hour Class which alternates every other month on Saturday or Sunday.
(Classes that do not have a minimum of 
5 couples are subject to re-scheduling.)

Cost: $95

Childbirth class series are a covered benefit with DSHS and Healthy Options.
Excellent prenatal care and a healthy lifestyle, coupled with childbirth and newborn education, provide a wonderful start to the new world of parenting.

 

Debra Moore, Instructor

Debra has been a nurse for over 24 years, 12 of those as an OB/GYN office nurse and working in labor and delivery. She has been teaching Childbirth and Breastfeeding classes in Olympia since 2003. She received her Lactation Educator Certification from the University of California San Diego and is also certified as a Childbirth Educator through Professional Childbirth Educators. Debra lives in Olympia with her husband has and three children. She enjoys attending her children's sporting events, baking, wine tasting, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.

What to bring?

  • Wear comfortable clothing
  • Two pillows (optional)

Snacks, light lunch and drinks are provided for classes.
